The figure below contains an example of automated wide area detection results using the WAVcam. Raw WAVcam imagery (grayscale) and the associated CD imagery (green with detects in red) are shown for a 40°-wide and a 10°-wide FOV. ISA's automated CD algorithm detected a moving vehicle and golfer as shown in the three frames on bottom. Each frame was taken one second apart showing the video nature of the WAVcam.

The vehicle is visible between houses for only one second. This is a good example of the importance of having both wide area surveillance and persistence. The golfer is located at a range of 1.3 miles where the ground sample distance (GSD) is about three inches.
