Next Generation Very Wideband Signal Pre-Processors
Next-generation BeachComber and Very Wideband Parameterizer
(Floodlight) systems will utilize new Blade Server technology in
conjunction with high performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch data
distribution capabilities. These new technologies will extend current
processing capabilities and reduce the overall system footprint.
This parameterizer differs from the very wideband pulse parameterizer in that it analyzes up to twenty megahertz
of RF bandwidth in real time, instead of several hundred.
The filebased parameterizer allows analysts to review and parameterize previously collected data off-line.
It is bundled with a suite of ISA-authored visualization tools.
BeachComber detects CW signals in an input signal that is hundreds of
megahertz in bandwidth. It provides a panoramic environment
display that graphically displays a time versus frequency plot of the
signals detected.
This system uses a combination of analog, and digital signal
processing to deliver sustained computing throughput in excess of 120
GFLOPS. It analyzes several hundred megaHertz of RF in real
time, and produces descriptor words suitable for both automatic and
manual follow-on processing.
